I don't really think I knew what I was in for when I took up the white with 1 challenge yesterday...until I started! This was so difficult for me but I'm glad I stuck with it. Being limited to one colour (as well as white) pushed me to my limits but I think I am happy with how it came out in the end?! Orange is not a colour I use often and this is very 'girly' too which I don't normally attempt but who knows...could be catching and you never know until you try!
Ok there is a lot going on here but here goes .... The actual challenge was to use white and orange and scallops. The back spotty paper is Sass, and the other pattern paper is Jenni Bowlin. The corrugated cardboard has been misted, painted, inked and embossed within an inch of it's life! The paper strips are Doodlebug, flowers are Prima and the cute bright orange ones are homemade by mwa by twisting some Prima lace - very easy and effective! The medium white flower is Prima and I took the centre out and created a paper middle with cut and rolled paper with some stamens glued into the middle. Doily is Chip Chop Shop, sequins are from my stash (thanks Mum!) and alphas are Bella Chips. The butterflies I made by stamping the image and then inking with Distress Inks and adding some glossy accents for the body then a little glitter. The ruffle is just crate paper and the scallop mat to the photo was just hand drawn and then painted and inked to get the right colour. I think that's about it - make sure you head over to http://whitewith1.blogspot.com/ and give it a go! Enjoy!
