A layout and some more exciting news - Yippee!

Hi all - well I have been absent as not only have I had the flu and felt like death warmed up, we have been renovating (including my scrap room - so exciting!). When I am finally finished sorting everything I will share the before and after pics!
First a layout to share.... this one has been partially completed for some time and I have only just put the finishing touches on...
It was a scrap jack of one of Charmane's beautiful layouts - some changes here and there should check out her beautiuful work ... and be sure to grab some of her creations when she next has a sale!
I used the Crate Paper 'Restoration Collection' (yummo!), some crackle paint and doilies and those delicious Charms Creations lollipops - LOVE them!

Oh and my exciting news is I just found out I won the Show us Your Stuff (group 2) challenge - I am thrilled!
Well I better get back to cleaning, sorting and moving!.....Thanks for stopping by...hope you are having a great weekend!

Bird is the Word July...Hope

Hello and Happy Friday everyone!!
Here is a lo I created last night for the Bird is the Word July challenge. The word is 'Hope'.
Had loads of fun creating this...have NO idea how it's going to fit in an album lol!
The papers are Ad Lib by Bo Bunny (love them - so bright and funky!). The yellow flower was handmade with the Ad Lib trims, the other flower is a gorgeous Charms creations beauty and a Purple Pumpkin orange polka dot covered button...some mist, paint and embossing powder and there you have it!  Be sure to pop over to and join in!

ARTastic July Challenge ...loving life!!

Hi there - well I don't think I've come down yet - still on could 9 about being on the Stuff 2 Scrap Creative team!! I guess the high has inspired this layout too! This is my first time using the new Tim Holtz kraft resist paper and oh my - I'm in love! The challenge is to use this painting Octoroon Girl by Archibald Motley....

Then for extra points you have to use a picture of yourself; shades of red and maroon and a hat or gloves somewhere on your lo (ooh tricky - mine is in the background on the kraft paper - can you see it?!).
I used the new Tim Distress Stain on the background and made that little rosette flower out of dyed seam binding (to match the bow on the top right).  Thanks for stopping by!

Charm sale this Friday!!!

I love Charm's gorgeous creations and she is having a sale this Friday!! Make sure you take a look - she's got some beautiful new goodies this time!! OOhh - can't wait!!

The best cuddles..

hello there - well a quick share tonight.... finished off this layout yesterday and I like how it turned out.  I have been trying to work on a little challenge but it just wont happen for me (sorry Kaz!) - I am determined to do it though!...I'll get there!
This one is just for fun...lots of crackle paint and some old book pages. I have been dying to use these Prima beaded wires and this was the perfect opportunity (thanks Kaz!). Just a little mish mash and it came together really fast which I like (doesn't happen very often!!). Papers are all Echo Park.
Thanks for stopping by!

Another layout and some EXCITING NEWS!!

Well first of all I am SO EXCITED ... I won the June challenge over at ARTastic with my 'A day at the Beach' layout!!!  YIPPEE!! We were away for the weekend and I had no internet so was THRILLED to come home and find out that I was the winner!! YAY again!  Be sure to check them out as they have some great challenges every month..

Next is a layout I finished today ... another challenge between Miss Karen and myself! I set a little challenge to use the papers we bought together at the expo (Blast Off by Bella) and to use a die cut piece somewhere on the layout.  Easy I know but it's school hols and I need easy at the mo! I am trying to use my dies more lately... I love them but don't get around to using them enough so I am going to try harder to use them on layouts!

ANYWAY.. back to the layout! I stuck some random alphas on a piece of cardboard and then used my Timmy colorwash (love that stuff). I then used some distress inks to highlight them. The papers, stars, words and rocket die cut are all Bella and the gears and type stamp are Timmy. Hope you like it!
