New addictions (and some old ones)....

Well I hope everyone had a lovely Easter!! Isn't it a great time of year! Not only is the weather perfect but such an exciting time for the kids!
ANYWAY!! Back to scrappin'......I feel as though I am quite behind in my Blue Bazaar Bootcamp challenge (this is layout no. 12 and 13 of 30!!!) but there is still time and I'm all charged up to get the task completed!!

This layout was a blind scrap held over at http://www.scraptherapy.com/ - WOW! NEW ADDICTION!! Have you ever done one of these before?? If not - I would highly recommend giving it a red hot go! It is such a lovely night - not only chatting and making new friends but being guided step by step through a layout (via the forum) AND also having the freedom to change it up to suit your own style. I will definately be doing this again!

ANYWAY...here is my take on the blind scrap...

Papers and most of the embellies are Cosmo (Togetherness collection) and some of that delicious crochet trim from the Chip Chop Shop.....

Next layout....I have tried to use the Crate Paper Neighbourhood collection SO MANY times lately but just couldn't get it to work for me....I was happy with how this finally turned out! I haven't quite finished as I'm not totally sure on what to journal yet but thought I would put it up here anyway (the majority of it isn't even stuck down yet if I'm going to be totally honest!)...Papers are Crate Paper, pink trim is Websters Pages, some timmy tissue tape and .....for my next addiction ...an oldie but a goodie....fabric covered brads/buttons - I am totally in LOVE all over again! I think you will be seeing a lot more of these on my layouts from now on...they are yummo!

Thanks for looking!

super fun layouts to share!

It's been a little while but Easter is such a crazy time isn't it!?

Managed to get in some much needed scrappin time last night (thanks hubby for giving me a get out of jail free card!!) .... scrapped via txt with my scrappin bestie Kaz. Check her blog out too by the way - seriously inspiring! http://proudscrapaholic.blogspot.com

Ok I'll post my LEAST fave first! Don't you hate when they just don't come together the way you want them to! I think it was the paper that put me off!  Anyway...I struggled through and got there in the end (kind of!).

It's on kraft cardstock then the black background is BoBunny. The rest of the papers are LoveElsie (very old ones from my stash!). On to the flowers....top one is handmade by mwa...just lovin these at the mo! Prima and then some gorgeous doily action from the chip chop shop!

Next one up was so much fun! Kaz and I scrapped this layout from listed instructions she found somewhere on the www and it was really interesting to see how we both interpreted it differently! I couldn't help but add more but I like the way it came out!

Paper is sass, stickers are sass and october afternoon and another of those scrummy home made jobbies.
Pic is not great sorry!

This is probably my fave of the three today...came together really quickly and easily (gotta love when that happens!). Was totally inspired by some papers in a massive lot of goodies so kindly given to me by karen....mmmmmwa!! They are papers and a few matching pieces by MME (So Sophie collection). A piece of denim cut from a old pair of jeans made the background, prima flowers and pins are from Maya Road (I think)! Aren't they just the most adorable eyes!!

Not sure on my count for this Blue Bazaar 30 layouts Boot Camp Challenge but I'm sure I'm behind...lucky I have time to catch up though!! Anyway.. that is it for now...I will be back after Easter so have a great time and be safe!

Kraft it Up Challenge....

Hi there - well I finally finished the layout for the challenge over at http://kraftitup.blogspot.com/ . This was loads of fun so be sure to check it out! The challenge is a 1,2,3,4,5 challenge so you have to use -

1 piece of kraft cardstock
2 photos smaller than 6x4
3 different alphas
4 different patterned papers
5 different embellishments

I used the new toy box collection by Crate paper - just LOVE this collection! border strip is by sass. I sewed twine to make the border - looping it every now and then and I love how it came out. The stamping is a stampin' up background stamp and the flowers are made from denim fabric with a centre made from twirling the twine into a swirl.
Hope you likey! Nin

Weekend challenge!!

Hi there!
My scrappin bestie Kaz and I are madly doing a weekend challenge (which I think I will need an extension on!! lol) This is what I came up with for the great challenge going on at http://showusyourstuff.blogspot.com/ . You have to use the sketch provided and scrap only with blue, yellow and pink.... wow it was harder than I thought it was going to be! You could also use black, white or kraft for the backround. This is what I came up with...

I used sass, crate paper, cosmo and girl's paperie papers. The background is a bit of a tissue paper/glimmer mist/ink/paint/sewing combo. Flowers were 'fun with tissue paper' again and those gorgeous doilies from none other than thechipchopshop! Sticker is cosmo and die cuts are the new ones from pink paisley - yummo!

Next one is not for any challenges - just plugging along with the Blue Bazaar Boot camp! This was a fun little layout! Papers are Crate Paper, Cosmo and October Afternoon. Stickers are Sass, October Afternoon and Studio Calico. More doilies from you know where and the red goodness is a new love affair I've been having with Fimo! The blue paper behind the pic is actually homemade....from......um......ok I'm just gonna say it.....toilet paper! The texture is just gorgeous - coloured with colorwash by Ranger! Oh...and a zip! Love that little touch - will be using more of those I think! Hope you like!

Another Layout to share!

Another layout to share - the only thing I am struggling with in this Blue Bazaar Bootcamp so far is finding the time to scrap!

Papers are a bit of a mish mash I think.....Bo Bunny, Little Yellow Bicycle, Cosmo and MME.  Envelope is Maya Rd, MS butterflies and those gorgeous doilies and the mushroom chip piece is from the ChipChopShop on Etsy - so in LOVE with her stuff at the moment!

This only happened the other day - my little girl lost her first tooth!! I think I was more excited than she was!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Back again!

Well here I am again...this could possibly get addictive! Another few layouts to share - I'm trucking along with this Bootcamp thing and it is really getting my creative juices flowing! I'm learning more about my style and what I do and don't like and it's great to give new products and techniques a red hot go!!

I just love how this one turned out. I have used these papers before and I usually find it hard to use the same papers again but I did it! They are by October Afternoon...flowers, butterflies and leaves by prima, a smoosh of paint and there you have it! Isn't he gorgeous!

This one is my fave so far I think....This was a challenge between my scrappin bestie - we were scrappin by text and this was the end product! Papers are Echo park, flower is 'I am roses', epoxy flowers by Prima. Banner was Sass (I altered it a little with my pinking scissors) and the doily is by the amazingly wonderful Leeann Pearce (ChipChopShop - Etsy)!

So there we have it - layout count is 4 of 30 and truckin on! Hope you likey!

I'm doing it!!

Well here I am - I have been so nervous about doing this but I am just going to take the plunge and do it! My sister always says "Don't think about it, just do it!" and I am going to follow her advice once again!  Blogging is very new to me so be patient while I work it all out!

Thank you so much to my dear friend Karen for setting it all up for me (after hours of frustration trying to do it myself I had to call for re-inforcements and she did a stella job!).

Ok - I have entered into Blue Bazaar Boot Camp...have you heard about it??? Complete 30 layouts in 60 days....um....right now I'm thinking it was a crazy move but with the words 'don't think about it, just do it" ringing in my ears.........here are my first few layouts!

A layout of my babies right now....Cosmo and Crate paper and a little bit of Sass, Prima flowers, October afternoon little letters and some thickers and there you have it! Oh....and a lot of inspiration from my fave scrappers!

And for layout 2 of 30, my beautful nudies! Thought I better not show the rude bits! The paper is Girls Paperie, some October afternoon and Sass stickers - so cute!!

Ok...that wasn't so hard....didn't hurt at all! Thanks for peeking!
