Screen2Scrap September challenge...

Wow - it's been a while since I have been able to complete 2 layouts in one day! My little break must have boosted my mojo a little!!
This one is for the September Screen2Scrap challenge... fist time taking part in one of these - looked like lots of fun!

It was a 'Rio' movie poster and the extra demands are... *One word title * Add blue, yellow and red cardstock and *Add a bird! You can check out all the details here but you'll have to be quick as it ends midnight tonight!

Gotta love that Stuff2Scrap sign - I have wrapped the post in bakers twine and jazzed it up a little!

Some flowers are handmade... the yellow one and the blue one up the top are are 'Manor House'...again! Love em! The larger one up the top is Purple Pumpkin - so cute!!

I'm Baaack!!

Hello there! Well we are back from a FANTASTIC little getaway to Sydney...it was so great to get a refresh! I was getting so bogged down with all the mundane day-to-day 'stuff' - I really needed the break and some quality family time!
I spent yesterday giving the washing machine a flogging and cleaning the house (it was like a bomb had gone off!) so I feel ready to scrap!! I tackled this one today ... it is the 'ARTastic' September challenge... you can check it out here.  It is based on the painting 'Almond Blossom' by VanGogh and for extra points you have to have white flowers, blue background and white or brown for your title.  I didn't use any patterened paper this time - just paint, mist, tissue paper, doilys, a Chip Chop Shop card and some flowers (the white ones are the new Manour House ones - aren't they delicious!)....

I am getting pics from our trip developed tomorrow so I'm excited to get started scrappin those!!! Thanks for stopping by and thanks for your wonderful comments! xox

Show Us Your Stuff Sept 15th Challenge.....

Morning all! Well this may be my last post for a few weeks as we are off to Sydney for a little holiday! I can't wait!

OK so it's another BRIGHT one!! This layout is for SUYS Sept challenge ... you can find it here . You have to use * Multi photos *Stripes and *Hand made embellies... you can also take part in the 'Try this technique' for extra points.  I have used Echo Park papers (loving them at the moment!) and cut the paper into strips (or stripes lol) and thatched them.... remember doing that at school all those years ago!!?? I had a go at the handmade felt flowers for my handmade item as well as for the 'try this technique'. The spotty brad/button is also handmade with my i-top. The arrow is of course from Stuff2Scrap ... just love those versatile chippies!

Bird is the Word September.... Share

Hi all!
WARNING - you might need your sunglasses to view this lo!! ... it is for the Bird is the Word September challenge... the word is 'Share'.  I seem to be either doing super bright layouts or totally opposite mixed media grungy layouts at the moment?!??! I never know how it's going to turn out! I did really want to reflect the super fun and energetic mood these 4 cousins share when they get together and these Echo Park papers were perfect! I have used heaps of different flowers - some Maya Road (thanks Marelle!!) some Prima and I used a gorgeous Purple Pumpkin button too! The green dotty ones were hand-made rolled roses; letters are Sass and Oct Afternoon.   Be sure to check out the challenge and join in here   .....Thanks for stopping by!

We had a busy weekend but lots of fun... I was SUPER excited with my first ever publication in SBM mag - woohoo!!

I did have a chance to scrap a little ... can only share this one at the moment though! It is for the Stuck Sketches challenge this month... you can check out the challenge here.  I popped over there to check out this month's challenge and found that I was runner up last month - absolutley thrilled!!

This is the sketch - (I flipped it on it's side). I used a lot of paint and stamping and book pages; the paper is crate paper and I have been dying to make and use some of those yummy rolled flowers (made from hand dyed calico strips). The gorgeous bike is a Stuff2Scrap chippy of course - I have also been itching to use it - so much fun!

I am in LUUUURVE!!!

Well I have seen people taking these amazing She-Art classes with Christy Tomlinson and have been blown away by their work so couldn't help but join in ... OH MY GOODNESS.... this class is just wonderful - so much fun!! This on-line class is broken down so well - easy to understand and not as overwhelming as you might think! If I can do it - anyone can!!  What a great intro to multi-media! Here is my girl from week one ... I can't wait to see what is going on for week 2!!!
