A few little shares..

Not much scrappin going on around here lately (*sigh*)... I am having some major withdrawals!
I have made a couple of canvasses for gifts though.. I just love a home-made gift...

This is for a friend's 40th Birthday party tonight....

I think she needs a face but I'm terrified I'll wreck it and wont have time to fix it... !

This one was for a friend's little boy's 4th Birthday....

That's about all I have to share at the moment but hopefully I will get some scrappin done over the weekend... I hope!  It's going to be a busy one with a 40th Birthday party (starting at lunch-time today (lord help me!), Easter bonnet making, Romi's first year one assignment and our 7th Wedding anniversary celebration... whew.. I'm exhausted just thinking about it lol!! Hope you enjoy whatever you are up to this weekend!!

FINALLY FINISHED!!!

Well this has been a BIG project... my FIRST ever quilt!!

It's hard to see just how pretty and bright the colours are in this pic...  it is fabric given to me by my dear friend and it is by Amy Butler (K and Co)....stunning!  here is what the back side looks like....

And my sweet mum surprised Romi and made a matching one for her baby cot from the scraps...

This was meant to be for my daughter's birthday in Jan...
Those of you who sew will laugh when I say that I thought myself and my Mum (a seasoned sewer) would have this knocked over in a weekend.... 2 months later and it's finished lol!!
Rom absolutley loves it and it makes her room so colourful and bright!

Once Upon a Sketch March...

 oooh I am so in love with layers at the moment!! can't help piling those goodies sky high! Love it!
This is my take on the Once Upon a Sketch challenge this month...

The criteria is 'all about you' and something you are good at ... and there must be journalling along with using this sketch.. I flipped it ...



Like most people, it's hard to journal (and even use pics) of yourself but I think it's good to keep records of your life as well as your family... I chose to scrap my exercise/fitness/health journey over the last 7 weeks... I'm really proud of myself for sticking to it and giving it my all!

Kraft It Up March...

New month.. new challenges.. so exciting!
We have had a lovely day today... we were up early and off to the beach before 7am (love the beach at that time of day), then home for pancakes (Sunday ritual), out for a run then in my room for some scrap (me) time... so lovely ...
ANYWAY.. 'Kraft It Up' March challenge is the first one that took my fancy this month..

Here are the rules for the challenge...

KIU MARCH CHALLENGE
This month is a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 challenge and we want to see...

1 Piece of Kraft Cardstock or Patterned Paper (mine is by Jillybean Soup)
2 Photos of any size (check)
A 3 word title (check)
4 different pieces of patterned paper (I have a mix of MME, Crate Paper, Bookpage and some wrapping paper) and
5 different embellishments (butterflies, stitching, that gorgeous Charms Creations star, doily and pieces of zipper)

WW1 Feb Challenge...

Back again! White With 1 challenge for this month is...

White + Lemon + 3 pics ... I love to scrap with yellow so I was excited to give this one a go...

I also wanted to give myself an extra little challenge to use no flowers.. why not...

Isn't he the cutest .. learning to whistle ... very difficult and frustrating thing to learn apparently!

First timer at Savvy!

Ok I'm not even sure I am doing the right thing here but heard about a great sketch over at Scrapbook Savvy and thought I would join in! I'm not a member of the forum (I will be soon though) and I'm not sure if you are meant to use their kits for the challenges but I played along anyway lol!

Isn't it funny when you have an idea in your head but the finished product turns out NOTHING like it - some layouts just have a mind of their own! lol!

I have had so much fun with challenges this month - there are some great ones out there!

Think I will have a go at WW1 today.. maybe! Last day to try and squeeze another one in!
