January Stuck Sketches....

This is my first challenge entry for 2012 and it feels good to get back into it! Had to have a go at this one when I saw the sketch over at Stuck Sketches ! This is what I came up with (totally inspired by my new Shimmerz too!) ...

The pic was taken in October but journalling is as per yesterday! My little girl is turning 6 on Sunday and starting GRADE ONE on Monday!! We will be having a busy birthday weekend! Happy Friday everyone!

HAD to have a play!

I received some very exciting mail today (Shimmerz - yippee) and just had to have a play! It is the week before school goes back and I am flat out but they were just calling me! Not to mention getting back from my scrappy visit to Karens and being SO INSPIRED!! (more on that later)...

oh look at that face - he was terrified!!

Sorry the pics are horrid - it is so miserable here - raining all day long! How cool is that heart! That is just hand-drawn using a Posca pen on a transparency sheet and then cut out - I'll be doing more of that I think! Papers are Echo Park ' for the record'.
Better go cause my kids are jumping on the trampoline in the pouring rain and it's gunna be a big clean up job! They are having a blast though! I'll be back soon - have already started another page - gotta love those Shimmerz!!!
Hope you are all having fun!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Well HELLOOOO!! I have been without an internet connection for weeks now and boy oh boy have I missed stalking my fave blogs!! We had a lovely relaxing Christmas and New Years and hubby has gone back to work today so I'm ready to get organised and back to my scrapping (YAY!).....
I know Christmas is almost like a long ago memory but I did want to share the end of my December Daily since I haven't had the chance yet.... I really did have fun with this and will definately be doing it again next year! ...

That little book in the no.25 pocket has all of the Christmas day photos and journalling.

I love this pocket at the back - I put all of the kids special Christmas artwork; christmas cards the kids wrote Justen and I; their letter to santa on Christmas Eve etc

It turned out really chunky (which I really like!) I had a few questions about how I was going to bind it and this worked the best (and kind of happened by accident actually!).  I made 4 holes and was going to use rings but couldn't find any the right size so pulled out my seam binding and threaded it through each hole and instead of tying them all in 4 individual bows, just tyed one big knot! I really like how it looks! Ok well that is it for today but I have LOADS more to share over the next few days! See you all again soon and HAPPY 2012!
