Merry Christmas!!

Well I did have full intentions of more pics of how my December Daily is going but after a day of just not being able to 'get it together' yesterday followed by a last ditch effort to get the photos processed only to find that the photo machines at Office Works was broken... I surrendered to the fact that it's not going to happen! I have the pics and have done the pages ready for the photos to go in but no photos! ANYWAY... we are off on holidays today and will be back in a week or so and I will share then!

Until then, MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone! May your holidays be full of joy, love and a little bit plenty of indulgence!

xoxo

December Daily..

I ummed and aahed and thought I had way too much on my plate to attempt my first Dec daily but I saw so many awesome ones being put together out there I jumped in and decided to do it.... Here are the first pages.... (lots of pics here - sorry)....

It's not bound together yet - I'll do that at the end (it's going to be gi-normous!). I tried making the album ready to put the pics in but that doesn't work for me because I never know what pics I'm going to take/use per day so I'm making as I go....
I'm up to day 8 (completed) and have kind of partially done the next few pages but I will show those in a few days...... How are your Christmas preparations going? I just LOVE this time of year!

Teachers gifts...

Whipped up these easy little Teachers' Christmas gifts last night for the kids to take to school to say thanks and Merry Christmas! This is only half of them as my little fella has already taken his to daycare!

The flower was made using a 'My Favourite Things' die - oh how I love those dies at the moment! They will definately be featuring on my layouts for a while now cause I can't stop using them!
Have a great day everyone! xoxo

A handmade Christmas....

Hi all....
Well my family and I decided after the craziness of last year that we would have a 'Handmade Christmas' this year.. such a great idea and so personal!
I have been busy working on many projects over the last weeks and I'll share this one today..
Mum and I go to the Brisbane Papercraft show every year (it's OUR thang!) and when she fell in love with a beautiful piece of art by Jane Tragenza, I knew I would have a go at something similar for her for Christmas.  Boy oy boy - harder than I thought and I seriously take my hat off to the VERY TALENTED Jane Tregenza .. her work is just breathtaking and inspiring!

I used Echo Park papers and stickers (Times and Seasons) and various flowers, ribbons and trinkets.

Even though it was a time consuming project, it was LOTS of fun and quite cheap to do ... I bought an old frame (with no glass) from vinnies for about $2 and painted it black. The backing is just a sturdy cardboard painted black also and then a series of squares and rectangles.

Thanks for stopping by!
